Private by default, with on-device parsing where it fits
A receipt scanner touches your spending history, so the app is deliberately conservative about where your data goes.
- You can start without an account. Documents scanned in guest mode are read and kept on your iPhone. They are never uploaded.
- Supported iPhones parse on the device itself. On Apple Intelligence-capable hardware, receipt text never leaves the phone.
- Complex documents fall back to the cloud, and the app tells you. Long, multi-page, or unusual layouts go through the same secure extraction pipeline the web app uses.
